A PAGAN PENTACLE ENCIRCLES...

THE STARS we all look upon in the day or night sky, have been a source of metaphysical inspiration and symbolism for various belief-systems, throughout recorded existence, and before it...

The differences to be found between where the star's points are rotated, and the shape and number of star-points, will differentiate between Judaism, or Satanic worship, or the version of star meanings encircling the Pagans' Pentacle, my subject.

Is much of religious or spiritual beliefs, simply a matter of semantics?  Apart from more extreme points of view, I find that many other systems derive some basis for their views, from the forces inherent within Nature, with ethics that are often similar in their moral compasses.

I invest in Spirituality that is positive-minded, Nature-based, and empowering to my own sense of connection with "forever."  I respect all path-references with Universe / God / Goddess / Source / Krishna / Buddha / Great Spirit...and others I haven't mentioned.
Let LOVE be a thousand names of differing welcome, if guiding all of us to our serene, higher pastures!

The Pagan Pentacle has five points...with two points creating the foundation of "legs," and two more points raised above like "arms," with a fifth point balanced on top like "the head."  A circle encloses and unifies all points as One, in connection with one another.  Earth and Fire make up the foundation points, forming and molding "what is."  The flowing-density points are represented by Air and Water, permeating all of our bodily fluids and conduits.  The crowning point of this star-symbol is the element of Ether.  These combined elements comprise our life forces, with the Circle of Spirit unifying all elements as belonging.

The Pagans see themselves as elementally-connected, to the turning-wheel or Source of Nature, which spins the cycles of the seasons that Pagans live in accordance with, in their planting, nurturing, harvesting and resting cycles; and I'm not even simply referring to living in Pagan harmony with The Land.  Today's Pagans tend to look at any progression of endeavors that embody their cyclical focuses, as a harvesting brought up from the first seeding, to "the succeeding," in tune with their natural impulses.  A Pagan grows "things" with Nature's wisdom guiding the process.

This Source that Pagans trust in, also generates the interconnected waves ceaselessly cascading through The Universe's unity of birth, growth, "invulnerability," aging, illness, passing, and regeneration.  This is a circular forever...forever belonging, one form or another.  It is this "undying knowing," which grants Pagans their inner strength and faith in what The Universe brings to them, and also brings them back to.  Pagans, in their honing hearts, accept which stage they are at, in the turning of all seasons.

What I don't believe in, is Nothingness...because another force in The Universe that is omnipresent...is that of CHANGE.  Change doesn't only come to us, as if "It" were ever apart from us...nor is it something we ought to treat as "strange," or as a separate unknown force we should fear.  We are also "It," as Change is in step with Time, and Time is where we exist.  When we technically "don't exist," well, what's to fear there, because we essentially become Timeless!  In the Timeless state, we become One with Pure Potential...even in "Nothing," there exists a little "Something," just as Yin must be wended with Yang, or Light with Dark...or the Circle of Spirit that is forever collecting the elements where they belong for a Time...

The number five has other resonances in Nature, not only with the five elements.  We typically have five digits per hand and foot.  We have five primary senses that enable us to experience this material existence.  The Pentacle, then, is a holistic symbol of all actions possible within our human nature's physical bodies and energetic existences, in connection with All Potential.

To honor such elemental potential in ourselves, is to acknowledge to our ever-changing neural pathways, that we can ground like Earth, manifest change through the Fire of action, heighten awareness with the purity of our breathing (of Air), and continue flowing forward, over, under, between and around all barriers, like elemental Water, finding those deepest crystalline pools where we reflect on our most potent personal visions!

As for Ether...there is that "meeting element," where the very apex of one's channeling consciousness, may just reach upward through the seemingly impossible barriers of Time and Space, directly into "the other side" of Source ~ a Great Mystery of Universal Abundance ~ calling down that other energy known as "Possibility."
